An extraordinary 2.3 acre property that is delicately perched above and shares residency of both cities of Los Angeles and Trousdale Estates/ Beverly Hills with view the from the Hollywood Hills to DTLA and the Pacific Ocean.
This 8,000 sf Single Family Residence with 2,500 sf Guest House floats above those cities and embraces the 360 degree views from inside and out. The thoughtful juxtaposition of heavy and light, and dark to bright materials emphasizes the floating volumes while melding with the natural surroundings.
NCA Studio assumed the project after the initial design and partial permitting was completed, and immediately navigated through the design, code, complex zoning issues and multi-disciplinary coordination required to deliver exquisite luxury, precise detailing, and exceptional design. This process required a high level of expertise in construction, high-end residential projects and the local building codes to navigate the complex issues to cross multiple city boundaries, municipalities and ordinances, working through the requirements of a high fire hazard zone, and preserving the integrity of the design.
The project is currently in construction and is scheduled for completion in Summer 2021.
